Students, Interns & Residents

At Genesis Counseling Center, we are committed to equipping the next generation of Christian counselors and psychologists. We provide training opportunities for Master’s and Doctoral level students with a heavy focus on diagnostic assessment. Applicants should have strong evaluation/assessment skills, report writing skills, ability to work with children and basic therapy skills. For direct client hours, we uniquely offer several off-site options for those in residency. Monthly group supervision provided. Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree and be able to obtain hours over at least 2 semesters (preferably 3 semesters). Having an interest in Christian integration is recommended.

Doctoral Interns:

Genesis Counseling Center is now an APPIC member, applications for match will only be accepted through the AAPI and cannot be sent outside of the Match for Phases I or II in accordance with APPIC Match Policies.  Standardized APPIC internship applications and instructions for applying to the Genesis Internship Program are available at the APPIC website www.appic.org .  Applications must be submitted via the online APPIC Application for Psychology Internship (AAPI).
