Training the Next Generation of Christian Clinicians

At Genesis Counseling Center, we are deeply committed to equipping and developing the next generation of Christian counselors and psychologists.

Our training programs are designed to provide meaningful clinical experience, strong supervision, and intentional development—helping you grow both professionally and personally as you prepare for your future career.

We offer internship and training opportunities for Master’s and Doctoral-level students, with a strong emphasis on diagnostic assessment, clinical reasoning, and integrated care.

What You Will Experience

Hands-On Clinical Training

Gain direct experience working with clients, including opportunities in assessment, counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Strong Focus on Assessment and Report Writing

Develop advanced skills in diagnostic evaluation and report writing—areas that are increasingly valuable in clinical practice.

Supervision and Support

Receive monthly group supervision along with guidance from experienced clinicians who are invested in your growth.

Diverse Clinical Exposure

Work with children, adolescents, and families while building foundational therapy and assessment skills.

Flexible Training Opportunities

For residents working toward licensure, we offer off-site options for direct client hours in certain residency pathways.

Ideal Candidates

We are looking for students who demonstrate:

• Strong interest in clinical assessment and evaluation
• Solid writing and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively with children and families
• Foundational therapy skills and clinical maturity
• A desire to grow in Christian integration within clinical care

Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree and be able to commit to at least two semesters (three preferred).

Genesis Counseling Center is a member of APPIC, and all doctoral internship applications must be submitted through the APPIC Match (AAPI) in accordance with APPIC policies.
