
Susan Barnum, LPC NCC
Susan Barnum is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor who earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Regent University in 2006. As a trained Christian counselor, she integrates empirically validated treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with the foundational beliefs of the Christian faith. Susan brings a unique perspective to her practice, having served for 20 years in the US Navy and worked at Fleet and Family Services within the Navy.
In 2016, Susan received a Certificate of Achievement in Psychological First Aid and Trauma Informed Care at Commander, Naval Installation Command. She also has specialized training in Motivational Interviewing, which further enhances her ability to provide effective counseling services tailored to her clients’ needs. By combining her extensive experience and specialized training, Susan is well-equipped to help her clients navigate life’s challenges and achieve lasting personal growth.
Susan is a dog lover and has fostered many throughout the years. When not working, Susan enjoys working in the yard and playing with her dog Bekah May.
