Neurofeedback Specialist

Dr. Sherri Spain is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Virginia. She has worked in the mental health field since 2006 in a variety of clinical settings, to include community mental health, group home, and hospital settings. Dr. Spain utilizes integrative techniques in therapy that are based on individuals needs and desired therapeutic goals. Methods utilized include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person Centered therapy. Dr. Spain provides Neurofeedback utilizing the Othmer Method. In addition to therapy and neurofeedback, Dr. Spain provides psychological evaluation services for a variety of presenting concerns.

Dr. Spain received her B.A in Psychology and minor in Religious Studies from Radford University. She obtained her M.A at Norfolk State (in Community and Clinical Psychology) and Walden University (in Psychology). She earned her Ph.D. from Walden University in Psychology. Dr. Spain enjoys training and supervising the next generation of counselors.

In addition to her passion of providing therapy, assessment, and training to others, Dr. Spain enjoys being outdoors, camping, and traveling.
