Ramona Watson, Ph.D., LCP

Dr. Ramona Watson has worked in behavioral health since 2000. She currently holds a license as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of VA and has enjoyed a work history that includes a variety of settings with diverse populations, including an inpatient facility, a women’s residential substance abuse program, a community health center, a university hospital smoking cessation research department, and military treatment facilities. Dr. Ramona is a firm believer that God gifts each of us with a physical body that is “fearfully and wonderfully made”, and that it functions at its best when we are healthy physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She strives to empower individuals to become their healthiest selves, and as a result, reach their greatest potential for living happy, balanced and fulfilling lives.

Dr. Ramona received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and her graduate degree in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina at Columbia. She completed her doctoral internship in the Department of Psychiatry at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. This experience provided a wealth of exposure to the consultation-liaison model, an interdisciplinary treatment team approach, and opportunities to provide services to many in underserved communities.

Born and raised a native South Floridian, Dr. Ramona is a lover of sunshine, beaches, and swimming with dolphins! Along with her husband, family, and friends, she enjoys traveling, cruising, music concerts, stage plays and recreational activities such as bowling, karaoke and fishing. She is also involved in the women’s and evangelism ministries at her church and has plans to participate in future mission trips.
