
Michelle Hamlin, LPC
Michelle Hamlin is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She uses person centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, and play with clients of different backgrounds. She is passionate about those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Michelle works with many types of populations above the age of 6. She has experience with those diagnosed with anxiety, depression, trauma, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD,) and intellectual disabilities.
Michelle has worked at Genesis Counseling Center since 2018. She completed her internship and entire residency at Genesis. She also has experience as an in-home counselor and a Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) counselor within the school system. Michelle earned her Masters of Science in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University in 2019. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University in 2017. She is currently enrolled in her Ph.D. program in Social Psychology at Walden University.
Michelle resides with her three children, two of which are also on the autism spectrum. Michelle has personal history in the military community. She was a stay-at-home mother for eight years while completing her education. She has two dogs and two cats. Michelle enjoys painting, gardening and reading.
