Megan Moore, LPC
Megan Moore is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia and is registered as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. She primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Megan has a passion for people who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress and addiction.
Megan graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Communications and French from Asbury University. She earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Seminary. She has worked at Genesis Counseling Center since 2018, completing most of her residency administering psychological assessments in addition to providing individual counseling. Megan has additional experience working in substance abuse treatment during her internship as well as post-graduate work.
Megan has a passion for open communication as well as making mental health conversations part of everyday life. She values being a continuous student of life that never stops learning. She enjoys reading more than one book at a time as well as reading out loud to her family.
