
Meagan Walkley, LPC
Mrs. Meagan Walkley has experience working with ADHD/ADD, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety, ODD, Anger Management, Adjustment Issues, Trauma Issues, Relationship Issues, Parenting, Women’s Issues, Christian Counseling, Certain Personality Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has experience in working with populations from school age as young as 5 years old to adults. Her passion is working with adolescents and young women. Meagan often utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, Motivational Interviewing, and Family therapy.
Meagan’s heart is to walk alongside people who are struggling. Her goal is to provide excellent counseling services and build a positive therapeutic alliance. Meagan believes in meeting people in the midst of their struggle and working together with that individual/individuals to heal and grow.
Meagan received her B.A. in Psychology from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Meagan received her M.A. in Community Counseling from Regent University located in Virginia Beach in 2008. Meagan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 10 years of experience providing mental health counseling which includes intensive in-home counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and behavioral health counseling.
Meagan currently works two days a week at Genesis. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her two small children and husband. She loves spending time with family/friends, attending church, dancing/Zumba, and watching movies. She also enjoys walking/running and spending time outdoors (especially the mountains).
