Linda Bucklaew, LCSW

Linda Bucklaew has a Bachelors in Psychology, with a minor in Counseling, and a Masters in Clinical Social Work and practices as a licensed clinical social worker.   Her experience includes working in crisis intervention, with survivors of sexual assault, inpatient treatment, working in residential treatment facilities for severely emotionally disabled older children and adolescents, and a detention facility.    She then spent 20 years in generalist practice at a local Employee Assistance Program working with a wide variety of clients and presenting issues including experience with:   Individuals, couples, families, adolescents, military service members and families, and emergency services professionals.

Linda is trained and experienced in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and is qualified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  She also has experience working with individuals who are recovering from a traumatic medical emergency. 

Linda enjoys time with family and friends.  She runs and exercises daily, is an artist in several mediums, including making pottery on the wheel, enjoys gardening and travel.

Specialties include:  Grief and loss, anxiety disorders (including panic and OCD), depression, adjustment disorders, trauma, adolescent concerns, relationship issues, workplace issues, reintegration post deployment, and work with emergency services professionals.
