
Krista Zohorsky, LPC
Krista Zohorsky is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia. She enjoys creating a warm and safe therapeutic space in which clients can utilize their strengths and passions to achieve their goals. She works with adults, adolescents, couples, and children from a vast array of life experiences and stages of life. She utilizes a variety of counseling techniques to best meet the needs of her clients, with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral, DBT, Person-Centered and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Her mental health experience includes working with youth and adults in crisis intervention and stabilization, community, and outpatient settings.
Krista graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. She earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2018 and provided outpatient counseling through a local church for her internship. Her graduate studies focused on clinical counseling and faith integration for clients who desire a Christian faith-based approach; but she is well-experienced and comfortable with clients who hold a variety of views. Krista has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is a certified Prepare/Enrich provider. She is passionate about helping couples utilize their strengths to build a healthier marriage.
Originally from the west coast, Krista has lived in Virginia since 2009. She loves the Blue Ridge parkway, the beach, and any opportunity to be outside. Krista can often be found spending time with her husband and their church, reading, taking care of her plants, or trying her hand at new skills and hobbies.
