Kimberly Torres, LCSW

Kimberly Torres is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. The foundation of her counseling is based in empowerment, assisting her clients towards the goals and solutions that fit within their own passion, purpose, and plans. Kimberly is a Christian and enjoys incorporating her beliefs into counseling; but she is well-experienced and comfortable with patients who hold to a variety of views.  Her counseling background includes individual and group therapy and crisis intervention, to include working with individuals from a vast array of life experiences and stages of life. Kimberly additionally has a lengthy history of working with children and teens within the foster/adoptive system, incarcerated and previously incarcerated individuals, and those who have chronic health concerns.

Kimberly has been providing professional and personal counseling services since 2016. She graduated with her master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Social Work from Columbia University (NY), and received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Brescia University (KY). She enjoys continuously building upon her clinical skills and holds a certificate to provide EMDR, is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and has taken many extra continuing education classes to include psychopathology, leadership trainings, and working with a client’s perfectionism, anxiety, attachment and/or abandonment concerns.

She is the proud mom of six children, to include three adopted children, the addition of two sons-in-law, and a 180lbs grand-puppy Saint Bernard. Kimberly enjoys spending time with her children, playing games, hiking, taking long walks, working out at the gym, enjoying peaceful times of mindfulness outside, and being in awe at all of God’s creation.
