
Joey Meador, LCSW
Joey Meador, LCSW has worked in the mental health field since 2016. He holds a License in Clinical Social Work through the ASWB in the state of Virginia. He has worked with youth and families in various ways since 1999 and is passionate about helping youth and families grow together with trauma informed care, as well as individual and couples therapy. He is trained in EMDR therapy.
Joey holds three Master Degrees: Master in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, Master in Arts in Evangelism and Church Planting from Liberty University, and Master in Science in Secondary Education from Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi. He also holds a two undergraduate degrees: BS Theatre Arts and AS with a focus on vocal performance. He was born in Northeast Texas then migrated to South Texas before moving to Virginia in 2010.
Joey is an ordained Southern Baptist pastor and served as such for 16 years most recently serving in churches in Williamsburg and Richmond. He also was a school teacher for 10 years, having been licensed to teach theatre arts at all age levels. He loves to play basketball, vintage video games, and guitar. He is married to his bride, Jamie, and is a cat dad to Khloe and Floki.
