Cynthia Tidwell, LCSW

Cynthia Tidwell is a licensed clinical social worker in Virginia. She focuses on building a positive, collaborative, helping relationship with clients attuned to their individual needs and goals. Her worldview is Christian but she is accustomed to working well with people who hold different beliefs. Cynthia’s counseling background includes experience providing individual, marital and family therapy, working with a broad range of clients and presenting issues.

Cynthia has been providing quality, professional counseling services to adults and adolescents since 1987. She received her Master of Clinical Social Work from Boston College and her Bachelor of Social Work from Eastern College.

Cynthia understands the unique challenges of ministry families as a former pastor’s wife in a New England church; presently her husband of almost 30 years ministers as a hospice chaplain in the area.  Her passion is to help women experience a life changing intimate relationship with God resulting in healthy relationships and becoming the person God designed them to be. Cynthia’s ministry has included facilitating multiple women’s small group/Bible studies over the years.

Cynthia deeply values the power of reflectively slowing down; to enjoy walks outdoors, to appreciate the beauty of God through His creation and music, to relax by reading or swimming in a refreshing lake.

She is ready to help and looks forward to hearing from you!
