
Carey Savage, LCSW
Carey Savage has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. He holds licensure in the State of Virginia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. His mental health experience includes working with youth in residential, community, outpatient and foster care settings. In addition to working with youth in the Hampton Roads area, he has experience working with youth in Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, Maryland, and Georgia.
His specialty is working with youth who are challenged with low self-esteem, anger management, impulse control, attention deficit disordered, conduct disordered, oppositional defiant, depression and anxiety. He uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Modification, and Family Systems therapies for best treatment outcomes to help youth reach their full potential. He also incorporates faith and spirituality for a holistic approach to treatment. His passion is helping youth to improve their self-esteem, develop pro-social behaviors, and excel academically.
He holds a Master of Social Work Degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. His past work experience includes being a clinical director, program administrator, and founder and owner of a community mental health agency.
He is an avid fan of the Washington Commanders (formerly the Redskins) and the Los Angeles Lakers. During his spare time, he enjoys landscaping, watching ESPN sports highlights, and spending time with his wife and family.
