Adele Martelle, LCSW

Adele Martelle seeks to be creative in her practice giving clients of all age’s tangible skills to practice and uses visual examples. She attempts to meet her client’s where they are and help them recognize their own potential. Adele strongly believes an important part of her job is to help people heal and empower them to have healthy relationships with others and with God. She works with couples, children, teens, and adult individuals. Adele’s marital work with couples focuses on issues of intimacy, trust, and communication. In addition, she has a history of working with families and youth in the foster care system.

Adele is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has a Master’s in Social Work, with a specialization in mental health treatment, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Her Bachelors in Psychology is from the University of Southern Maine. Adele is trained as a Christian Counselor and in Forgiveness Therapy, which she enjoys using to help client’s experience freedom from past hurt and offenses while helping them pursue God’s best for their lives. She is also a public speaker and writer on topics such as trauma, attachment, clinical practice and marriage.

Adele and her family are residents on the Southside of Hampton Roads. They enjoy being outdoors, going for walks, making music and art. They are in ministry and have a heart to see people live fully alive.
