Paula Mokry has worked in the counseling field since 2008. She is licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Paula offers an open-minded and non-judgmental approach to her clients when everyday problems become too overwhelming to handle on their own. She creates a welcoming and relaxed environment, so clients feel comfortable collaborating with her through honesty and openness to help get to the origin of their presenting problems. Paula has many years of experience working with diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She enjoys helping clients who have experienced a wide range of stressors including anxiety, divorce, relationship difficulties, child behavioral problems, grief and loss, family conflict, depression, and survivors of physical and sexual abuse. Having been in practice for over 15 years, she truly has a genuine passion for helping others no matter how big or small their concerns may be. She personalizes each therapy plan based on the individual’s needs and goals. Paula has been blessed by her clients over the years and deeply cares about their well-being. She puts her heart into the counseling journey in hopes her clients may live their lives to the fullest. Paula was born and raised in the wonderful state of Texas and received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Texas A&M. She then graduated with her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. After getting married in 2007, she fell in love with Boerne and convinced her San Antonio native husband to move to Boerne in 2010. God has blessed her family with three beautiful children who keep her very busy outside of work and whom all attend Boerne schools. She and her family love to travel, spend time outdoors, and make memories with family and friends. Paula is active in her local church and enjoys teaching on Sundays in the children’s ministry.
