Mr. Morey has a deep passion for supporting veterans, military families, and individuals impacted by trauma, grief, addiction, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and social isolation. His compassionate and faith-integrated counseling style creates a space where clients feel both supported and empowered. Mr. Morey holds a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University, Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religion from West Virginia University. He is a Board-Certified Clinical Chaplain, Board Certified Pastoral Counselor, and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). His extensive background includes serving as a Clinical Chaplain and Healthcare Ethics Consultant at Sentara Healthcare, a Part-Time Chaplain at Bon Secours Healthcare System, and a Chaplain Intern with the Veterans Administration Health System. In these roles, he provided crisis support, grief and bereavement counseling, ethical consultations, and end-of-life spiritual care to patients and families. He has also served as a Director of Family Ministries and provided in-home mentorship for individuals with special needs. A proud disabled veteran, Michael served five years in the United States Navy within the Intelligence and Cryptology Command, an experience that continues to shape his commitment to serving those in the military community. Outside of his counseling work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
