Dr. Madeleine Reyes is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health advanced practice registered nurse who has been practicing since 2017. She is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized mental health care, with particular interest in pediatric, perinatal, and correctional populations. Dr. Reyes utilizes a holistic, patient-centered approach that integrates evidence-based pharmacologic and psychosocial interventions with supportive therapy techniques. She emphasizes collaboration and shared decision-making, incorporating strategies such as active listening, psychoeducation, problem-solving, and stress management to empower patients and enhance their sense of control over their treatment and overall well-being. Dr. Reyes earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus in mental health, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Florida International University. She has obtained additional certifications as a pediatric nurse, pediatric mental health specialist, and perinatal mental health specialist. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including hospital systems, outpatient clinics, correctional facilities, telemedicine, and inpatient care. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Reyes has contributed to academia by teaching in graduate-level PMHNP programs. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Reyes enjoys spending time with her supportive partner and their unique family of pets, including two Maine Coon cats, Paris and Tokyo, an exotic snake named Mr. Classy, and Taco the gecko. She values maintaining an active lifestyle, traveling, and exploring creative ideas, as well as cherishing quality time with loved ones.
