Dr. Black has over 28 years of experience in the mental health field, with a career encompassing both teaching and clinical work. She provides psychological assessment services for diverse clientele, including individuals who are of varying abilities, including various developmental disabilities, cognitive abilities (intellectual disability to gifted), socioeconomic status, ethnicities, and mental health diagnoses. Dr. Black offers full psychological evaluations, including cognitive, achievement, adaptive, and personality testing.   Dr. Black graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in journalism. She holds a master’s degree (M.A.) in counseling and a doctoral degree (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology from Regent University. With her earned doctorate, she began teaching graduate-level psychology and counseling courses at Regent University, eventually serving as both a full-time assistant professor in their psychology program and clinical supervisor in the university’s psychological services center. Dr. Black also taught counseling skills, testing and assessment, and life coaching at Liberty University for 14 years. Dr Black is a licensed clinical psychologist in Virginia and North Carolina.
