Twaina M. Carpenter, LPC
Twaina M. Carpenter is a Mental and Behavioral Health Counselor who provides exceptional counseling to all ages and populations. Twaina has been in the counseling field most of her adult life; however, she has been professionally counseling since 2009 after graduating with her M.A. in Clinical Counseling. She currently specializes in several counseling modalities, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Twaina continues to hone her professional counseling skills by proving to be a helping agent that researches, trains, and applies skills learned in order to be of the most benefit for her clients.
Twaina graduated with her A.A. Degree in Human Resource Management from the Community College of the Air Force, she then went on to receive her B.S. Degree in Management Studies with a minor in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Maryland University College. Her most current degree is an M.A. in Clinical Counseling earned from Grace University in May 2009.
Twaina served honorably in the United States Air Force for 20 years and retired in August 2005. Although, her military service was in Human Resource, she considered herself a professional helping agent, as well. She oversaw many active duty and civilian personnel, of which she provided help assisting with improved job performance, advice, mentorship and guidance, along with open and honest feedback. Twaina is an excellent active listener who genuinely cares about people and has chosen a career that allows her to aim high, for others. Twaina currently lives in Yorktown, Virginia.
