Summer Pierce, LPC
Summer Pierce is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. She has been working in the counseling field since 2012. Since completing college, Summer has worked as an outpatient counselor providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services to adults and adolescents. She worked in a residential treatment facility where she treated children and adolescents struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues. She also has experience providing crisis services through her previous work as an Emergency Services Counselor. She likes to take a strengths-based approach to counseling, helping individuals recognize and utilize the talents and resources they have within themselves to overcome life’s obstacles. She loves working with adolescents and families.
Summer completed her Master’s Degree at The College of William & Mary, where she studied Community and Addictions Counseling. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at Old Dominion University, where she majored in Human Services and Psychology. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and Virginia Counselors Association.
Summer enjoys art, music, and nature, and she is an active member in her church.
