Milena Weisenborn, LPC
Milena Weisenborn is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has experience working with children, adolescents and adults with a special focus on adolescents. She often works with clients to address issues such as depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, anger management, and relationship and communication issues. A client-centered approach serves as the foundation for Milena’s work with clients. She also incorporates a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, aspects of dialectical behavioral therapy, and strengths-based approaches, to best meet each client’s specific needs and concerns. Milena enjoys working with clients to overcome challenges, build upon their strengths, and lead a more fulfilling life.
Milena graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in dance performance from Southern Methodist University. She earned a Master of Science in counseling psychology at the University of North Texas. She is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia and Texas. Milena has several years of experience providing a wide range of therapy and assessment services to youth referred to the juvenile justice system and their families. She has also worked at a non-profit counseling center where she provided outpatient individual, family, and group counseling to children, adolescents, and adults.
Milena is a native Texan and recently moved to the Hampton Roads area with her husband, who is in the military. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, teaching ballet classes, listening to music and cooking.
