Capri Tophoven, LPC
Capri has been practicing in this field of counseling for over 24 years working in various setting from in-patient to out-patient and residential youth homes. She counsels children, adolescents and adult clients. Her areas of focus are anxiety, depression, complex trauma, ADHD as well as helping families and individuals develop healthy relationship skills. Capri has a heart for pastors, missionaries and military individuals and their families to support and encourage them through the role of counselor.
Capri graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Liberty University and received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Regent University. She has worked with organizations such as Minirth, Meier in San Antonio, TX and Teen Challenge in Newport News, VA. In 2002 she and her husband, Ingo, started their own practice and began to focus on supporting pastors and missionaries. This led them to Berlin, Germany, in 2008, where they continued this work in the field. During their time in Germany, Capri also worked as a Military and Family Life Counselor serving military personal and their dependents on OCONUS bases.
A mom of three and a wife to Ingo Tophoven, a German native, for 24 years, Capri loves to read, drink good coffee, enjoy good company, and is learning to enjoy working out. A Texas girl born in Brownwood and raised in San Antonio, Capri has always had a love for Europe and misses her adopted city of Berlin but is enjoying being back in the Hampton Roads area.
