Brenda K. Knox, LCSW
Brenda K. Knox is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in The Commonwealth of Virginia and a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, having over 30 years of experience as a behavioral therapist in both the inpatient and outpatient treatment setting, and private practice; incorporating individual and group therapy. She is a professional member in good standing with Virginia’s National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Brenda is passionate about freeing individuals from the bondage of depression and as a military spouse of an active duty service member she has acquired specialized training in complicated psychosocial problems of Active Duty Service Members and Veterans; military family advocacy programing (FAP)/military lifestyle issues and spousal abuse.
Mrs. Knox is also a licensed minister specializing in spiritual counseling, having completed a two-year certification program in 2015 through CHARIS Bible College – Andrew Womack Ministries, Raleigh, NC. Her worldview is Christian but she is accustomed to working well with people who hold different beliefs.
Mrs. Knox moved from North Carolina and resides in Yorktown with her husband of 26 years. She enjoys volunteering in the NICU at Riverside Hospital, swimming, hiking and exploring God’s wonderful nature.
