lynn parker Lynn T. Parker, LPC, HS-BCP, MA.

Lynn Parker is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC and her graduate degree from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia, majoring in Community/Clinical Psychology.

Ms. Parker worked nine years as an adjunct professor in the School of Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies Departments for nine years. Ms. Parker also worked at Angelos Bible College as an adjunct professor teaching in the field of psychology.

Ms. Parker has more than 20 years experience working with children and families from a social and clinical perspective and has worked with various populations and cultures. Ms. Parker’s specialties with children and families consists of:

• Trauma histories (sexual, physical, emotional abuse)

Ms. Parker focuses on issues by using TF-CBT, Faith Based Counseling and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Ms. Parker works with the EAP (Employee Assistance Plan), short-term solution focused counseling for most employee programs. Specialized Training in Prepare-Enrich Facilitator ( )

Ms. Parker works with various ministries in her church, including missions and evangelism, women’s cell group leader and nursing home ministries.

Ms. Parker and her husband James loves traveling and have traveled out of the country doing missions work. Lynn and husband have five children and seven grandchildren.
