Jeffrey Olrick, Ph.D. Dr. Jeffrey Olrick is a licensed clinical psychologist and a graduate of the University of Miami (B.A.) and the University of Virginia (M.Ed. and Ph.D.) Curry Programs in Clinical and School Psychology. Dr. Olrick completed a two-year Fellowship at the Mary Ainsworth Child-Parent Attachment Clinic at the University of Virginia. Dr. Olrick has over 14 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including residential and outpatient treatment, the public school system, UVA and MCV Hospitals, and most recently in private practice here in Hampton Roads, VA. He is a member of both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). Dr. Olrick is a general practitioner who provides psychological testing and therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults. He has specialized training in the identification and treatment of Attachment issues and has extensive experience treating individuals with Mood and Anxiety Disorders, including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, using cognitive-behavioral therapy, and treating children who have experienced trauma and loss using play therapy. Dr. Olrick lives in the Newport News area with his wife and two children. You’ll find the Olrick clan after hours at either the beach or Busch Gardens.
