Elisa Litchfield M.A. Elisa Litchfield is a Virginia Native who graduated with honors from George Mason University in 1996 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Philosophy. After serving in the U.S. Army for 6 years as a Mental Health Specialist and Combat Medic in Louisiana, Elisa returned to Virginia where she began the Doctor of Psychology degree program at Regent University. She attained her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology in 2006. She will graduate with her Psy.D in May of 2010. She and her husband are active members in Hampton Holiness Chapel. Elisa has over 15 years of experience working in the field of psychology, in many different capacities. Some of her areas of interest and training include treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder using Cognitive Processing Therapy, the treatment of Personality Disorders using Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and the treatment of Anxiety and Depression using Insight Oriented and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She feels strongly that integration of a client’s faith with mental health treatment is essential to comprehensive care. Her most passionate interest is promoting improved mental health with Active Duty and Veteran Military members and their families.
