Martha Karam, Ph.D., LPC
Dr. Martha Karam is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has practiced in the Hampton Roads area since 1984. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Rosemead School of Psychology, now affiliated with Biola University in LaMirada, CA. Prior to returning to her hometown of Newport News, Dr. Karam worked for 9 years as a staff psychologist at Philhaven Hospital in Lebanon, PA. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). Dr. Karam is a clinician dedicated to the process of integrating Biblical principles with proven psychological practices. She works primarily with adults of all ages. She specializes in the areas of depression, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, senior adult/senior family issues and conflict management. Dr. Karam enjoys the opportunities to share outside her practice by making presentations to churches and civic groups on topics relevant to the integration of faith and practice. Dr. Karam lives and works in the Williamsburg area. |
