Brent Griffin, M.A.
Brent G. Griffin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner who has been in the mental health field for over 15 years. He earned a Master's degree in Counseling and Human Development (1996) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology (1993) from Radford University, Radford, Va. He worked as a group therapist and Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS) for the Virginia criminal justice system (1997-2001) before moving to an outpatient setting here in Hampton Roads, Virginia. He has been in private practice for 5 years and is the author of the book Heavenly Parenting: Live a Little, Laugh a Lot, Love a Whole Lot More. Mr. Griffin's expertise includes helping clients break free from addictive behavior, maximize problem solving skills, build harmonious relationships, boost self esteem, alleviate depression, and restore peace of mind from anxiety and anger. Mr. Griffin currently resides in Newport News, VA with his wife and two children. |
